Pamphlet #9 – Live Art Writers Network x Citemor 2025 – Commissions

10th October 2025

Live Art Writers Network returned to Citemor Festival (Montemor, Portugal) this year, inviting Ed Freitas and Letícia Maia to reflect on the festival’s creative processes and performances. This included daily reflections from the festival, seen on the Citemor website and post-festival reflections we have just published.

Their time responded to artist and writer Diana Damian Martin’s invitation to developing critical and theoretical reflections on queer temporalities and anti-conformist critique.

Ed’s final response is a poetic text thinking through the flow of an artist as both river and shore, part of a current that stitches memory, geography and affection into artistic practice and festival contexts. Leticia’s is an essay that traces embodied writing, cuir temporalities and what it means to create and respond to art in times of crisis. Both texts were originally written in Portuguese, published with English translations.
