‘From the Cages to the Queer Blue Sky’: WHAT CAN ART DO during and beyond global crisis?
A BORDERLESS Conversation Between Cassils, rafa esparza and Whiskey Chow
Whiskey Chow invited fellow queer artist-activists, Cassils and rafa esparza to talk via Zoom about their ambitious new work ‘#XMAP: In Plain Sight’, which marked 4th of July. It was a collaboration with 80 artists to call for migrant detention and the culture of incarceration to be abolished in the USA.
The conversation that Chow shared with them reflects on how to channel the potential of artistic power to instigate social and political change.
Commissioned and presented by performingborders and Live Art Development Agency for performingbordersLIVE20, with funding from Arts Council England.
